Gene Gañgan is Director for Research for the ZMG Group, providing tactical and strategic support to the Practice Groups and Recruitment teams through talent insights and information on market and competitive developments. He will build Research as a business pillar by creating value propositions on talent research, intelligence, and knowledge as a product or service of the ZMG Group.

Gene has over twenty years of experience in the fields of IT, Operations Management and Research & Analytics gained in social insurance and global recruitment solutions sectors. His last role was Global Head, Market Insights of Allegis Global Solutions. Prior to this, he was managing Market / Competitive Intelligence Research, and Research and Analytics in Alexander Mann Solutions and RR Donnelley, respectively. In the early part of his career, he spent eight years with the Government Service Insurance Systems (GSIS) starting in a dual role as Social Insurance Specialist and IT Officer, then Field Operations Manager and eventually becoming Assistant Regional Manager.

He graduated Cum Laude at the Western Mindanao State University with a BS Computer Science degree. Through a scholarship, he completed the Masters Programme in International Health at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. Gene also attended programs on Market Insights, Competitive Intelligence and Advanced Competitive Intelligence sponsored by various institutions abroad. He also authored three research papers that he presented in international fora in Belgium, Switzerland and South Korea.
