Jesus Zulueta Receives Posthumous Ateneo Alumni Association Homecoming Award

ZMG Ward Howell founder Jesus “Gigi” Zulueta Jr. now joins Ateneo de Manila’s top jubilarian graduates with a posthumous honor given during the Ateneo Alumni Association (AAA) Homecoming Awards, held on November 25, 2017.

At a breakfast ceremony held in Barbara’s Intramuros, Gigi was feted for his contributions in the human capital industry, particularly in helping shape today’s local and Southeast Asian business landscape by placing Filipino talent at the helm of top corporations across a number of industries. Also recognized were Gigi’s contributions to the Ateneo community and other institutions of higher learning, showing his advocacy in continuing professional development. Joining Gigi as fellow jubilarian awardees were Dr. Manuel Dayrit (former DOH Secretary) and Jose Mari Chan, who were recognized for their achievement in medicine/public health and music/arts, respectively.

Ms. Jeannette Zulueta was present during the ceremony, and received the AAA Homecoming Award on behalf of her late husband.

The AAA Homecoming awardees were also introduced during the grand alumni homecoming on December 2.

A full-fledged Atenean, Gigi graduated from Ateneo de Manila Grade School in 1963, High School in 1967, and University in 1971. The AAA Homecoming Award is presented annually to golden jubilarians who consistently exemplify the Atenean values of loyalty and excellence in their life’s work. Awardees are nominated by members of their graduating class, affirming that they are held in high esteem among peers and the wider Ateneo alumni community.
