Gene A. Gañgan

Chief Operating Officer

Gene Gañgan is the Chief Operating Officer of ZMG Ward Howell, where he leads the company’s efforts in team performance management, strategic planning and execution, and process optimization. He is also spearheading the development of a research-driven business pillar by creating value propositions around talent intelligence and knowledge as a product or service of the ZMG Group with the aim of providing tactical and strategic support through insights on talent, market trends, and competitive developments. Concurrently he is the IT Practice Head for ZMG Ward Howell.

Gene has over twenty years of experience in the fields of Operations Management, IT, Research, and Analytics gained in social insurance and global recruitment solutions sectors. His last role was Global Head, Market Insights of Allegis Global Solutions. Prior to this, he was managing the Market & Competitive Intelligence and Research & Analytics teams in Alexander Mann Solutions and RR Donnelley, respectively. In the early part of his career, he spent eight years with the Government Service Insurance Systems (GSIS) starting in a dual role as Social Insurance Specialist and IT Officer, then Field Operations Manager, and eventually becoming Assistant Regional Manager.

He graduated Cum Laude from the Western Mindanao State University with a BS Computer Science degree. Through scholarships, he completed the Management Development Program of the GSIS and the International Leadership Training in Germany of GIZ GmbH. He has likewise attended the Masters Program in International Health at the University of Heidelberg in Germany.

Gene participated in training programs on Market Insights, Competitive Intelligence, and Advanced Intelligence Analysis sponsored by various institutions abroad. He authored three research papers that he presented in international fora in Belgium, Switzerland, and South Korea.
